Derwentwater and Catbells
The autumn sun sets behind the ridge of Catbells across the expanse of Derwent Water. This mountain is a popular tourist walk and can easily be climbed in under an hour from the outskirts of Keswick. The views are dramatic, ranging from the lake on one side, flanked by the giant of Skiddaw, to the beautiful vale of Newlands on the other. A great scenic reward for little physical effort.
